東京都狛江市「北杜市白州町市有地利活用検討プロジェクト 報告書表紙イラスト」

「白州」とは、昭和49年に狛江市が市民から寄付を受けた山梨県北杜市の市有地のこと。美しい緑の山々に囲まれた、清流のほとりの約10,000㎡の原野です。
この市有地の利活用を検討する市政チーム "狛江市未来戦略会議" 様のご依頼により、本プロジェクトの表紙を描かせて頂きました。

狛江と白州の人々が一緒に野菜を育てたり、ワークショップで子どもたちが自然から学んだり、狛江の特産品えだ豆のスープを皆が味わったり。チームの皆様がイメージされる未来図と、関わっていく人々の姿を想像しながら、二つの土地の良さが一枚の絵に共存し、多くの人々にプロジェクトの良さが伝わるように、心を込めて描きました。

土地に人々の願いが宿り、出会いと交流が生まれ、特別な場所になっていく。そのはじまりの1ページを描けたことを光栄に思います。

“Hakushu” refers to a 10,000㎡ piece of land in Hokuto City, Yamanashi, donated to Komae City in 1974. It’s a wild, open field surrounded by lush mountains and a clear, flowing stream. Commissioned by the Komae City Future Strategy Council, the team exploring new possibilities for this land, I had the honor of creating the cover illustration for their project report.

I imagined a future where people of Komae and Hakushu grow vegetables together, where children learn from nature through workshops, and where everyone shares warm bowls of Komae’s local specialty—edamame soup. I painted with the hope that the unique charm of both places would blend into one scene, conveying the project’s vision and the people involved.

A place that once had nothing slowly begins to hold people’s hopes, spark encounters, and grow into something special. I’m truly grateful to have illustrated the first page of that journey. Wishing this wonderful project continued success, with heartfelt gratitude to all the staff of Komae City.
