2021年夏の、横浜元町オリジナルうちわをデザインさせて頂きました。元町サマーイベントの一環として、7月28日より配布されております。(元町SS会211店舗、桜木町駅観光案内所、YOKOHAMA AIR CABIN ロープウェー搭乗口にて、限定5000枚を配布。なくなり次第終了）
横浜元町の夏は、青空の下にあります。まぶしい太陽と吹き抜ける風のなかで、メインストリートを歩けばいつも、楽しい出会いがあり、新しい物語が生まれ、人と人とが繋がっていきます。そんな、いつもの元町の夏の１ページを描きました。
歴史と革新が共存するこの街の人々との繋がりが、私の活力の源であるように、この団扇を手にする人々の夏のひとときが、素敵な何かに繋がっていきますように。
この企画に携わらせて下さったすべての皆様に、心より感謝致します。
I am so happy to announce that I designed the official summer UCHIWA of MOTOMACHI Shopping Street. As part of the summer event, 5000 pieces of UCHIWA is distributed to the people in the street, Sakuragi-cho station and the boarding gate of YOKOHAMA AIR CABIN.
Summer of MOTOMACHI is always under the blue sky. Whenever you walk down the main street, you will encounter new nice people, new exciting stories, and it will be connected as precious relationships. I drew a page of that kind of usual summer day in MOTOMACHI.
The relationship with the people in this small town, where history and innovation coexist, is the origin of my vitality. And, I truly hope the people who have this UCHIWA will enjoy wonderful summer day which lead to something special. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the people who helped me to involve this fantastic project.
